Can I see a model home?

What's the difference between a villa and a home?

A:
A villa is an end unit with three outside walls (front, back, and side), and a home is a center unit with two outside walls (front and back).

What is the cost of Homeowner's Insurance?

A:
The Homeowner's Structure Insurance is managed by the Edgewood Townhome Homeowners Association. All homes are covered together under one Master policy, which gives us a discounted rate due to the mass of the number of homes covered together. Homeowner's are responsible for providing a small secondary HO6 policy that provides extra liability and personal property coverages. Please speak to the Edgewood office and your insurance agency for more information.

What is the real estate tax rate in Halifax County?

A:
Currently it is $0.50 per $100 of assessed value. Example: $183,000 unit would be $915 annually.

What type of deed is transferred?

A:
When purchasing a home at Edgewood they are referred to as Townhomes, which means you own your home and the land under it. As opposed to a condominium where you would own the home, but the land would be owned by the Homeowners Association.

What does the Monthly Maintenance Fee include?

A:
The monthly maintenance fee includes fiber-optic high-speed internet, all landscaping and maintenance, underground sprinkler systems, snow removal (if required), waste pick-up, campus security, kiosk mailboxes, pet waste disposal systems, street lights, picnic shelters, fishing ponds, play area, swimming pool maintenance, clubhouse and maintenance of all common areas. The clubhouse includes a fitness center, half kitchen and restrooms. The clubhouse is available for private functions.
